My other superwash sweaters get the washer and dryer. I didn’t throw the swatch in the dryer because I didn’t have anything else to grow in the dryer at the time. I plan to lay it flat to dry unless it seems like it won’t go back to the right size that way.
The color is a little darker than the picture shows. Pretty close though!

It’s a beautiful color. My understanding of superwash yarn in general is that it stretches a lot when it gets wet. Putting it in the dryer seems to bring it back to its original size. You’ve already cast on so you may just want to go with machine wash, dry flat. Just wanted to give you an alternative.

Oh M.G. Love the Vivian and the Skewed socks… I want to make them, too. I would’ve loved to make the Honeybee this month, but didn’t buy the pattern while I could. Still not so sure I’m going to have enough time to work on the Tappan Zee Cardi, though I’m attempting. Great to see you blogging again…

B looks very pleased with his hat! And your Dad’s vest fits him spectacularly! Love the neck kerfuffle too… of course… it is blue and soft and handspun and full of goodness. Who wouldn’t?!
